chocolate t'ings with dried fruit and nuts.

Makes 25 pieces

T’ings are the simplest candy you can make, consisting of dark chocolate (or milk or white chocolate, if you prefer a less virtuous chocolate experience!) with chopped dried fruits and nuts. You can make any combination you like, but pistachios and cherries are a favorite.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate (dairy-free, if needed), melted and tempered
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or dried or candied fruit, for topping

Directions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Using a teaspoon, drop the tempered chocolate in half dollar–size pieces onto the sheet pan.
  3. Place the desired garnishes on the pools of chocolate before they begin to set.
  4. Allow the t’ings to set fully before releasing from the paper.
