Herbed Drop Biscuits

Makes 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking power
  • 1 teaspoon coarse kosher salt, plus more for finishing
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, thyme, rosemary and pepper. Mix to combine.
  3. Create a well in the center of the flour and add broth and oil. Use a wooden spoon to mix the dough just until combined.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a ÂĽ cup scoop to drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1-in between each biscuit.
  5. Bake until golden brown on the bottom, about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot or at room temperature.
