Makes 2 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 teaspoons paprika
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sauce is reduced to desired consistency.
  3. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator in a covered container for 5 to 6 days or in the freezer for up to 8 weeks.
