Makes 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 teaspoons paprika
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 4 teaspoons dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Stir and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sauce is reduced to desired consistency.
- Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator in a covered container for 5 to 6 days or in the freezer for up to 8 weeks.
